I am Joanne, a certified Sleep Sense™ consultant. Dana Obleman, the creator of The Sleep Sense™ Program personally trained me in her methods, which have been used worldwide by more than 100,000 families to solve their children’s sleep problems
My previous career was as a secondary school teacher in the UK but left my position when I had my son Oscar and my family moved to Amsterdam.
Our family’s own sleep challenges
Oscar never slept well (or very much) as a baby and I just thought that was normal for a baby and presumed he would eventually ‘grow out of it’. I read every book I could find on the subject of baby sleep and spent countless hours researching on the internet. All I found was conflicting information and none of it helped. When Oscar turned 2 it still hadn’t got any better. I was unhappy, exhausted, starting to resent my son and my husband and decided then that I needed to take more action for it to change.

It made such a difference working with someone that knew our situation and could tailor her support based on what we were comfortable with.
